I have been painting all of my life.

As a child I was naturally creative. By the time I was a teenager I was painting regularly in oils, acrylics, ink, watercolours, etc.

These were mostly cubistic, modern figurative, semi-figurative and abstract works. In latter years I have painted many interior scenes, colourful expressionist floral works with surrealistic influences. Vibrant, powerful colours regularly feature in my paintings. The richness of nature gives me limitless possibilities and inspiration.

I love beauty in all its forms, flowers, fine gardens in all seasons, works of art, architecture among other things. In my figurative work, however, I seek to find philisophical meaning from life’s experiences and to present them in an original way. I like emotions to be reflected through complex human nature. My art often contains subtle messages for the onlooker to discover.
